What Minnesotans Do In Winter

When the temperature warms up to the 20s we try join the rest of the natives as they take advantage of the "warm days". I actually heard a radio host refer to a 19 degree forecast as "great news". It was 9 below yesterday with a windchill of -39.

These are photos from the St. Paul Winter Carnival. We didn't make it into the Hot Dish Tent because we decided the tater tot casserole probably wasn't worth the 30 minute wait.

These photos were taken at the park down the street from our house. They flood part of the grass and turn it into an ice rink. There is a warming house that you can go into for breaks. Owen likes to play hockey with the neighborhood kids while Miles prefers to "figure skate" as he refers to it.
