Camp Rain Out

Our first camping trip of the season had an auspicious begining; a great pre-camp dinner at the Gasthaus Bavarian Inn, an easy tent set-up, and a roaring fire with camp songs and s'mores. After the park patrol (and other nearby campers) reminded us of the park quiet hours, we settled into our tents under a star-filled sky. A couple of hours later I awoke to a downpour, and then a wet sleeping bag. There was still a steady rain in the morning. We unanimously decided to pack up our wet tents and head back to civilization. After drying out at home we reconvened to eat the food we'd all pitched in for the weekend. Everyone had such a great evening maybe next time we'll skip the state park and camp in the Grafe's backyard. You can see the tents drying out in the background of this picture.
