Eli has been robbed of exposure on this blog. So here's an update of what's going on in the world of this 16 month old. Basically he doesn't play with toys. He prefers raiding the kitchen cabinets for things to play with. You'll see in the pictures he likes stacking cans and digging in cereal boxes. I finally put safety locks on most of the cupboards, much to his dismay. But, it's forced him to find other ways to amuse himself. His two new favorite things to do are:
1. Walk around pointing at things and saying "This! This!"
2. Put objects up to his ear (especially the phone) and have imaginary conversations.

Does Eli say things in the phone like "I want to move back to Texas?"
He is very, very cute and it makes me sad that we aren't in the same city. I am keeping my fingers crossed that 2009 is the year. Maybe Anne and I will start a letter writing campaign - we will write to liem daily reminding him that you belong in Texas.
