First Day of Kindergarten

Much to his dismay, Miles' first day of school was two days after Owen started. He was so upset that he asked if we could call Mrs. Mahoney to ask why kindergarten started two days after everyone else. Good question Miles. Anyway, the big day finally came and he was very ready to go. School starts at 9:20 and the morning kindergarten ends at 11:50.



When we arrived at the school Mrs. Mahoney greeted all the kindergarteners at the main entrance. Miles fell right into line grinning from ear to ear. I wish I had some funny anecdote to write about, but things went very smoothly. I didn't even mind that we weren't able to escort him into his classroom.


Miles was all smiles when he got off the bus in front of our house at 12:15pm. He couldn't remember anything about his day except that it was "good". During lunch I guess his memory came back and he told me the highlight was taking a tour of the school and seeing the principal's office. He also commented that he liked playing outside and the art center had lots of markers. He couldn't remember any of his classmates names but he liked them.
