Last weekend we went to a Tomie dePaola booksigning at a local toystore. We've enjoyed his books since we saw a "Strega Nona" puppet show years ago. Then we went through a "The Knight and the Dragon" phase for a about a year. Since then we've added other favorites to our bookshelf including "Legend of Indian Paintbrush" and "The Art Lesson". If your family hasn't read them yet, our family highly recommends them.

JT has the art lesson. I really need to try some others. I love that you went to see him; he looks just like i imagined!
Thanks for the rocking Advent Calendar. JT and Zach both freaked out. they sat and stared at it for an hour. I had to move it b/c someone (zach) was starting to test just how hard you had to push to get a window open.
